Odds & Ends; May

May; what a month you have been. This month felt like a proper whirlwind, and in April I had an idea it might. I got ahead with the little jobs such as link scheduling, pre-packing for trips such as Disney (always organised me!) and got ahead at my day job by tackling the mammoth task of report writing! I have also managed sort of to keep up with my favourite TV (I'm looking at you Game of Thrones!) which is a mini achievement. Last week I also got a new job so champagne all round!

After all the mayhem of Disneyland Paris, here's Cece chilling the day after we returned... she was pleased at our return! As this is published, I'll be down in Dorset after visiting Bath too. This month's been a good one for mini breaks!

Sunday Lunch; The Fighting Cocks Horton Kirby

It's been a while since my last Sunday lunch post; I haven't really been on many Sunday lunches, other than midweek roasts being cooked and our sit down Easter dinner. A few Sunday's back, I had a craving - I needed a carvery dinner. Living in almost the middle of nowhere, carvery chains like the Toby were out of the question, so we racked our brains on what to do; then we realised we live around a huge variety of pubs, and so after some googling, we booked a table at The Fighting Cocks. Now other than my family's home cooked roasts - this was by far the best roast dinner I've eaten in a restaurant and for a tenner was an absolute steal!
The pub is located on the river side, and has an indoor drinking area, conservatory for meals, outdoor barbecue area, tables & chairs, a gazebo for weddings, chickens & rabbits. The sun was shining, and the sky was blue and honestly, it was such a lovely day.
Now I'm just waiting for someone to go back with me! I could definitely visit every Sunday!

Lush Oxford St Wish List

Whilst waiting for the Glamour X New Look event last week, myself and my sister had a mooch around Lush Oxford Street. It is by far my favourite Lush I've visited to date (although I am hitting the Bath store next week, and follow their instagram religiously!) with 3 floors of Lush goodness! This photograph of the exclusive Cherry Blossom bubble bar made me want to go home, find a tin bucket and fill it with sand and Lush goods!

The store had so many brilliant displays. One of the best had to be their Father's Day range. I'm already eyeing up the Papa Bear Gift Set ... I just want the scarf to be honest! And after reading some reviews of Smuggler's Soul Face Scrub, as soon as my current Lancome & Avon scrubs run out, this is my next addition to my skincare routine. I didn't see the Modfather Bubble Bar  in store, but seeing this online made the Quadrophenia fan in me come out!

I brought a knot wrap and Guardian of the Forest bath bomb (a favourite of mine!); next on my list is
Experimenter Bath Bomb & Intergalatic bath bomb, both I've had before, but loved so much I want to buy again! I'm staying in a few lovely hotels next week, so I want to be having nice baths in them!

What are your current Lush favourites?

Disneyland Paris Souvenirs

For my spending money I changed up £150 worth of Euros... I had some ideas of souvenirs that I wanted, including a Minnie Mouse Balloon, but didn't go looking for anything specific. We collect postcards so we picked a Disney postcard for 2 euros with Mickey, Minnie & the Gang in. We picked up a magnet for family too which was 4 euros. I'd really liked the castle magnet but it was made out of a horrible material (I wish it was like an ornamental magnet instead of plastic!)
My parents looked after Cece whilst we was away for the weekend, and from remembering Disney trips with my Mum when I was younger, she always had Minnie Mouse key rings. Even though she said not to buy her anything, when I saw this keyring, I knew I had to buy it. Luckily they had a Marvel range, and so picked up Thor's hammer for my Dad for 6 euros.

Speaking of Cece ... we always buy our little pup some treats, and opted for a mini teddy. I had wanted to get her a Winnie the Pooh but the one I liked was far too big, so I went for Stitch. If you follow me on Snapchat, you may have seen My Story full of Cece playing with her new best buddy!

One souvenir I was very impressed with was the jewellery range in the Disney clothes stores. They had Mickey birthstones rings for 20 euros, necklaces and other earrings. I chose these Tinkerbell drop earrings for 20 euros.
This Minnie Mouse pen was 6 euros ... I brought this for my sister as she'd asked for a pen, and I loved the Minnie ears on it!
I also brought her an Alice in Wonderland mug... she'd asked specifically for something Alice in Wonderland, and I quite liked the girly design of this one! The mugs ranged from 10 to 20 euros.

I opted for the Disneyland Paris Spring design Tinkerbell mug... I absolutely adore it! Part of me nearly brought home Bambi & Flower too...
There were lots of little souvenirs to pick from too such as flavoured lollies... I loved the designs but didn't like any of the flavours that matched Mickey or Minnie!

There was lots of gorgeous china ranges too. I loved this Minnie range. I also fell head over heels in the ornaments store for the Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan & Snow White ornaments! I'm planning on heading back Christmas time and I'll be doing some saving I think!

Disney Magic on Parade

As a child I absolutely adored the Disney Parades. I remember them so vividly from seeing Baloo dancing, the princesses coming up to the crowd and even the moment I got a kiss from Peter Pan! The parade we saw was Disney Magic on Parade - we got our place early and sat waiting as the crowd gathered.
A mini warning - this is the whole parade, all 59 photos I took, so don't read if you don't want a spoiler!

I loved the storybook cover floats - they reminded me of my Disney traditions ornaments that are storybooks!
 Snow White & Prince Charming
 Elsa, Anna & Olaf
I feel like this float could be a novelty teapot design!
This was Brad's favourite... The Lion King!
This was by far my favourite float. I'll forever be a Minnie Mouse lover! And Mickey proposed!
