Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa

The Christchurch Harbour Hotel is by far, the best hotel I have ever stayed in; from the moment I stepped foot inside, it was honestly like being a part of a different world as crazy as that may sound! I've stayed in everything from boutique hotels, luxury chain hotels and this stay was my ultimate favourite (already hoping to go back around Christmas or February time again for round two!)

Christchurch was the 2nd leg of my mini trip around the South West. After browsing hotels and seeing *that* bath tub, I phoned up asking for the room with the grey bath in and I was set!

Our room was just a complete dream; first of all the bath. A grey roll top freestanding bath that overlooks the sea =  bathing heaven! The grey decor of the entire room gave me the heart eyes emoji face, and even more so with the ensuite nautical themed bathroom set with The White Company toiletries. Due to the sheer beauty of the hotel, we actually delayed our plans to explore Christchurch more until after checkout, because we wanted every second possible in the hotel room, besides visiting the spa!

The spa consisted of a gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and my favourite the salt room. For the majority of the time it was relatively quiet in the pool, and we ended up visiting the spa three times as part of our one night stay! There was also a relaxation room which overlooked the harbour, containing many vintage style photographs including Elizabeth Taylor which was a huge point scorer in my eyes! There was a vast range of magazines both male and female, alongside wedding magazines, as the hotel and grounds can also be booked for weddings.

The staff were so friendly, from the check in staff (who went out of their way to find us when our room was ready early and allowed us early check in!), serving staff at the bar and breakfast, to the ladies cleaning the rooms... everyone had a smile on their face and was always ready and at hand to help!

Breakfast consisted of a fully stocked cereal bar, with fruit, seeds, breakfast bars, yoghurt. A continental stand with a range of hams, meats and cheese. Croissants and pain au chocolats. Cut your own loaves. Tea in stripy tea cups. A full English breakfast. Juice served in clip top bottles, laid out on ice. Butter served in shells. Why can't breakfast be like that every morning?!

The whole stay was pure brilliance. I cannot wait to return, and I am also in the process of eyeing up St Ives, and the new Brighton hotel which is opening in August (maybe I'll visit Brighton to shop at Snooper's Paradise and *accidentally* stay overnight!)
